Ms. Sandhya Prasanth embarked on her journey at GEMS Legacy School in 2014. She is a qualified Science Graduate and has successfully attained a Bachelor's degree in Education. Holding an MOE Professional Teaching License from UAE, she has been actively engaged in teaching and coordinating assessments at GLS. Among her achievements, she attained the 7th Rank in CENTA-TPO 2022 and distinguished herself by earning titles such as a certified Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert (MIEE) and a Microsoft Certified Educator (MCE) Additionally, she is a trained Junior Health Inspector from All India Institute of local Self Government, Mumbai.
Ms. Sandhya has been accredited by the United Nations as a Climate Change Educator. Currently, she is pursuing her Masters in Science while also holding the distinction of being recognized as the Action Research Winner of season 3 at GLS. Her research focused on analysing the impact of a knowledge-flipped classroom on the development of critical thinking skills in students. In 2018, she stood as a finalist in the GESS Awards for her implementation of 'STEAM-based learning' and was nominated for the STEM Best Practices Awards 2023.
With a comprehensive sixteen years of experience in the education sector, Ms. Sandhya has dedicated nine of those years to GEMS Legacy School. Notably, in 2022, she was honoured as a Global Schools Advocate in the Global Schools Program—an initiative by the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions—from the UAE. She also completed a certified course from Oxford University on Teaching Learners with Special Educational Needs. Having taken on the role of Assessment Coordinator since 2015, she has been at the forefront of external assessment registration, compilation, coordination, and result announcements. Her educational philosophy centres around cultivating critical thinking in students through effective questioning techniques and inspiring young minds to become independent learners.
